Come run with us and raise money while creating and finishing a life goal; a 5K, 10K and Half Marathon.
OUR YOUTH ARE STRUGGLING TO CREATE A BETTER FUTURE FOR THEMSELVES AND FOR US, HELP GIVE THEM A SHOT
With such a great turnout last year you all made last year’s fun run a BLAST RUN!!! So here we go again…. AND YES… I WILL BE GIVING ANOTHER “WAY TO GO” SPEECH.
Caring S.H.O.S., Inc. is again partnering with the City of Fountain Valley and Orange County Parks as wells as community organizations at Mile Square Park to educate our communities on what is happening in our community programs. We also hope to raise funds for less fortunate students to provide for them the basic necessity items needed for completing a college degree, but also just for living. We provide food, school supplies, hygiene products, clothing and more to thousands of students in Orange County who literally have to answer the question, “do I buy the book I need or do I buy the sandwich my body needs?”
This will be a fast and fun running course. Some woodsy areas, small hills, small lakes, some pavement; all within and around the beautiful Mile Square Park. IT IS A SMALLER, UNIQUE RUN FOR SURE AND STRICTLY MADE FOR HELPING THE STUDENTS.
Our world is all interconnected in one way or another. The way we take care of our environment explains the way in which we interact with each other. The way we take care of our bodies and minds tells us how we will live our lives. The way in which we live our lives describes how we treat our environment.
Let’s give to those who struggle to live better lives, while being dampened by strife beyond their control; the foster youth, the single parents, the under served, the homeless; all the while continuing on with their education so that theirs’ and their families’ future can be different from what it is now.
We bring this fundraising marathon to you so that we can all get something out of helping others and so that we can understand how we impact the world around us.
“The miracle isn’t that I finished.
The miracle is that I had the courage to start.”
